The Marketplace of Google

Search engine rankings

The motto of the one of the largest search engines in the world, Google, is actually do not be evil. They are really quite the interesting company. The first ever tweet that they sent out in February of 2009 was binary code for the popular feature of their search engine, the button that reads I am feeling lucky. Also, the first “doodle” (an alternative version of the google image at the top of their page) depicted the Burning Man back in 1998. It was intended as kind of out of office message to let users know that the two co founders, Brin and Page were at the famous Nevada festival.

What makes Google the most interesting, though, is that they changed the game. As our culture invested itself more and more in the internet and cyberspace (over 70 million users as of 2012 shop using a mobile device alone, regardless of how many use a laptop or desktop computer), Google became the dominant form of research.

There is a whole branch of marketing known as SEO marketing, that appeals directly to Google. Since many people turn to the internet to find what they are looking for, resulting better and higher in a search engine is a new and successful way to market your company and website.

This is called Search Engine Optimization. SEO reporting can be tremendously helpful as a business owner who takes advantage of internet marketing. You see, with search engine optimization, your website will be boosted higher on the search results list or google rankings, which means people are not only more likely to go to your site, but also means that your website is exposed to larger, wider audience. In fact, three quarters of Internet search engine users never scroll past the first page of search results. You can rank higher by posting blogs that have been optimized for search engine by using target keywords. Statistics prove it. Companies that blog have been found to have 434 percent more indexed pages, which results in more leads.

SEO reporting allows a website to keep track of the statistics of their page. It lets them know how they are doing in terms of marketing their website online. With SEO marketing, their website will do that much better. SEO reporting is an important tool for those who utilize SEO marketing.

What do you think of SEO reporting? Do you think it is useful to use SEO marketing and SEO reporting to keep track of how your website does in search engines or do you think that SEO reporting is not as effective as other forms of marketing? Have you had an experience with SEO reporting? What was it like? Did you enjoy SEO reporting?
